Compression Ankle Supports

Compression Ankle Supports

Compression ankle supports provide targeted graduated compression around the ankle and foot to help reduce swelling, support poor circulation, and relieve discomfort from tired, aching legs. Ideal for localised ankle oedema or as additional support alongside other compression garments, our anklets offer therapeutic benefits in a lightweight, easy-to-wear design.

What Are Compression Ankle Supports?

Compression ankle supports, also known as anklets, are short compression garments that cover the foot and ankle area. They apply graduated pressure to help improve blood flow back towards the heart and reduce fluid build-up in the lower extremities. Unlike full-length compression socks or below knee stockings, anklets focus compression specifically on the ankle and foot, where swelling often accumulates.

Who Can Benefit from Ankle Compression?

Compression anklets may be helpful for:

  • Ankle swelling (oedema) – Localised swelling around the ankle caused by fluid retention, prolonged standing, or sitting
  • Poor circulation – Supporting healthy blood flow in the lower limbs
  • Tired, aching legs – Relieving heaviness and fatigue in the feet and ankles after long periods on your feet
  • Post-activity recovery – Supporting circulation after sport and exercise
  • Mild varicose veins or spider veins around the ankle area

Ankle supports can also be worn in combination with other compression garments when additional localised support is needed.

Compression Levels

Our compression ankle supports are available at moderate compression (15-24mmHg), suitable for managing mild to moderate swelling and providing everyday support. If you require lighter or firmer compression for your legs, you may wish to explore our full range of compression socks or below knee stockings, which are available across multiple compression levels from light (10-18mmHg) to extra firm (>30mmHg).

For guidance on selecting the right compression level, see our guide on levels of compression.

Is Compression Right for You?

Compression therapy is suitable for most people, but there are certain conditions where it may not be recommended. If you have arterial disease, uncontrolled heart failure, or certain skin conditions, consult your GP or healthcare provider before using compression garments. Our guide to contraindications provides more information on when compression may not be appropriate.
