Activa® Class 1 Below Knee Stockings

Light Class 1 compression, finishing below the knee

The Activa® Class 1 Below Knee Stockings give light graduated compression: British Standard Class 1, 14-17mmHg, firmest at the ankle and easing up the calf. Class 1 is the gentlest of the British Standard classes, and this stocking is designed for the management of varicose veins and for tired, aching legs. Activa® hosiery is made by Lohmann & Rauscher.

Compression and toe options

  • British Standard Class 1, light compression at 14-17mmHg
  • May help support tired, aching legs through the day
  • Closed Toe or Open Toe
  • Unisex sizing, from Small through to XX-Large
  • Latex free

Fabric, colours and care

The stocking is knitted from an ultra-fine nylon and Lycra Soft blend. It comes in Black, Honey and Sand. Machine wash at up to 40°C. Do not tumble dry or iron, and washing after each day's wear helps the yarn keep its stretch. Most people find it easiest to put the stocking on first thing in the morning, before the leg has had a chance to swell. Compression hosiery loses stretch over time, so replace the stocking once it starts to feel slack or too easy to pull on.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable.
